Dear Stampers, What a wonderful time of the year... Christmas cards, gift card holders, candy bar favors, candle wrappers, stamped picture frames, ornaments, wrapping, tags, even cookies – ALL STAMPED! How marvelous – such room for creativity (and outright stealing of ideas, ha ha!)  It’s so fun to make special cards and gifts and bring a BIG smile to the faces of friends and loved ones.  And how many times have you heard “I keep ALL your beautiful, handmade cards”? Don’t you LOVE that? Makes it so much more fun to be making them!

Hope your Holidays are jolly, your stockings full, and that you KNOW the Real Reason for the Season!

•  Occaisons camp – January 27th – Using new stamps from the Occaisons mini – and for ALL Occaisons – so stamp some Birthday, Thank You’s, Anniversary and more.
• Mom & Daughter Valentine Camp – Feb 3rd – make ALL the Valentines your children need for ALL their friends, including a special one for Dad!

Need a quick gift idea?  Wrap a candy bar in Designer paper, or cardstock, decorate the front like a card, add a special tag and Volia, a gift for the mailman, car poolers, neighbors, even teachers!!  I have one that looks like baby Jesus in a manger!

 

Or use one of our dies to make a box, like the matchbox die, and fill with candy!

Hello Everyone, finally got myself together enough to write my November blog – before Thanksgiving!  Some thoughts…I LOVE making Christmas cards…and have spent gobs of time poring over samples to stea…(ahem) “borrow” and tweak and change colors and FINALLY have 7 (not 6) samples you can choose from for the Christmas card camps… see them here and as always, you can click to make them larger. They are sweet.  Something for everyone’s tastes…  So, here’s what to do – I have several camp days to choose from, including one in December. Soooo, email me and let me know how many of which ones you’d like to make… and when you would like to come – and I’ll have everything ready for you to make and enjoy! Yummy food and drink and great conversation – a time to relax, enjoy and refresh before the holidays.

A beautiful technique, an oldie but gorgeous…stamp trees (Lovely as a tree), then clear emboss a large background (Hello, Doily – pg. 127) and sponge around the Doily with peach parfait, pool party and soft suede…Striking!

Summer 2011 is but a pleasant memory; fall, school, Halloween, Thanksgiving and, YIKES, Christmas, are buzzing on by. My Hostess Appreciation Party was so much fun, we made Butterfly post-it note keychains, a butterfly pop-up card, and so many different flowers, both diecut and made by hand. And can you say Pool Party? The New In-Color, of course! I LOVE the new styles…lots of flowers, layers, vintage, and Pool Party! We’ll be using fun new stamps, colors and ideas this week at stamp camp!  Still have a few openings…so give me a call if want to have some fun on Friday, 9/16.

What a GREAT idea – the inside cover of the Holiday Mini has a wreath made from the flowers made with the Simply Scored tool – add some SU buttons (in matching colors, of course), some wide striped ribbon to hang, and voila, a beautiful wreath for your door!

July is such a fun and busy time – sorry I haven’t blogged yet this month, and it’s gotten completely away from me….so, to catch everyone up I’ve got to tell you how amazing the new catalog is! The samples are gorgeous! I want to copy, ahem, c.a.s.e. (copy and steal, everything), them all. Email me if you’d like your very own copy.

Watercolor with reinkers – Stamp with stazon or emboss and use varying shades (at least 2-3) coordinating colors and color in your image with a water brush or blender pen, ranging from light to dark.  Come to camp this month and see what beauty you can paint.

Happy Snow, Valentines Day and lots of days off from school (or work maybe…) Oops – was that February – and is it March already????  I think I’ve lost a whole month!

 

A thought about Valentine’s Camp, though, the girls and moms had so much fun, that I’ve decided to do a Fun camp for girls and moms (maybe we’ll let some boys come too, maybe…) in JULY!!!! 

Are you ready for Spring?  I am sooo ready… makes me want to stamp… so how about the next stamp camp featuring….

Vintage, and sewing (can’t sew worth a lick, but LOVE the Stuff) and because I got SO excited seeing 30 robins in my Bradford Pear back in January that I HAD to start stamping the birds and papers from Nature Walk and Botanical Gazette (Occaisons catty) – so, the next camp will have birds too!   So come on out before you go stir crazy for some Stampin’ Therapy!

Hello Stampers, Happy New Year!!!  I finally feel like I can catch my breath after all the wonderful holidays.  Looking forward,  planning for camps and special projects, wanted to comment on some of the new stamps and accessories in the Occaisons Mini. I love the colors in the new sewing set with matching paper and fabric, buttons and mini pom-pom ribbon (too cute), there is a cute chocolate set (with a to-do list-funny!) And a great Valentine set on page 9 with flamingos, a definition for Valentine and a tree filled with hearts. Check it out!

Vintage is all the rage – even for kids and teens – sooo, maybe we should rename Children + distressing = Chilled Distress? or

Kid-tage, instead of Vin-tage?? How about Scrapbook pages in neutral & muted colors (like Early Espresso, my fav), old type fonts and handwriting, (Broadsheet Alphabet –pg 159 and Play date paper –pg 175), distressing/sponging and lots of lace trim and embellishments. Just Gorgeous! Challenge yourself to go out of the box – try something new!
