December is finally here... all the joys of Christmas barreling relentlessly toward us like the Polar Express. Ever feel like there is too much to do and not enough time to do it? Well, I'm with you. And I keep promising myself to slow down. But until I do, I have some fun things to show you. A couple of pictures from the October Stampin' Up! Regionals, some last minute gift ideas to suggest, some stamping dates for January and some stamping fun.    Check out the texture on the Christmas card above. And the cute Reindeer treat or gift card holders below.

The new Occaisons mini will be out soon and effective January 4 – April 30.  I love the Vintage sets – a cool one with a bird that I must have, some sewing related sets – very cute, Create-A-Cupcake with it’s own punch –YES! New papers and a new DIE to dye for :-) It looks like a mini cone with a scalloped border – too adorable.  As always, if you don’t get one in the mail by January 5th, call or email me!

How to decorate a bottle (wine, sparkling cider or bath salts).  Start with a piece of rectangular cardstock, score into thirds. Punch a circle (that will fit over the bottle top) into the center section. Layer the front with designer paper, theme stamp (cupcake, or Christmas) cut out and mounted with pop dots. Add a punched “To: – From:” and off you go – A gift from your heart to someone you love.  Makes a great Hostess gift too!!  Here is a pic of the idea from Convention. This one even has a Hershey Bar holder on the front!  Cool, huh?  Maybe we’ll make this for Valentine camp?

In this class, you will make 20 cards, 5 each of 4 designs. Class fee includes a wood mounted stamp set, vanilla cardstock, seam binding, patterned paper, ink, a blender pen, and more. Product value - $57. Use the provided templates to make your cards with supplies left to create more projects.  Extra materials will be provided.

Ornaments by the Season

Spice up your holiday décor throughout the year by combining cardstock and patterned paper shapes to create pumpkins, Christmas ornaments, Easter eggs and more! Your class fee includes designer paper, cardstock, ribbon, Tombow multipurpose liquid glue, sponge and bone folder, product value - $45. Use the extra product to continue creating at home. Stamped Slates & Mailbox Wraps

Brayered Backgrounds

Learn the art of gorgeous brayered backgrounds. Learn the technique plus go home with 2 finished cards and everything you need to make more. Class Fee includes a brayer, 3 inkpads, pack of Whisper white cardstock, and sponges. (A $50 value). All extra materials supplied. (These are samples of the technique – not the actual projects of the class)

It’s a bittersweet time of year, Becca went back to school last week and I miss her and think it’s wonderful – all at the same time…quite conflicting….but I get a lot done when she’s in school – and have lots to do planning Stamp camps, the Used Rubber Stamp Sale and the “Time to Stamp Camp” in November – which will be a full day of stamping – with REALLY cool classes!

Now, on to stamping news…

 

I have to tell you how much fun my Hostesses had at Hostess Appreciation last month….they made fun cards, 3-D projects and flowers and a great color chart. We used gorgeous papers, hot accessories and ate yummy deserts. All with a Luau theme. Just some of the projects….

None of you want to miss my party next year…so plan on having a workshop or book show or joining a Color Club (the 1st one launches this month and is full – starting to take reservations for club # 2 !) between now & July 1st 2011!!!!  And come be appreciated next year!!!!

Speaking of brayering…..or in this case sponging…try sponging various colors in random splotches across your white cs,  (like….pumpkin, red, pacific point, espresso and a little black around the edges….add a background stamp and Voila…a gorgeous background ready for incorporating into your finished card!

PS – remember – as a friend told me… if you don’t have ink all over your fingers…you’re not doing it right :-)

Hello Everyone, It's ... Spring??????? Or Summer?? Either way, this month we'll be having The Moms & Daughters (or sons) Stamp Camp - doing BIRTHDAY CARDS & TAGS. To get prepared for all the upcoming Birthday parties! We'll even test out my flower punches and dies!

There will be simple cards for the girls to make with a stepped up version for older girls (moms may make one too :-)

And next month (May) we'll be doing a FLOWER FUSION Stamp camp!!! Stay tuned!!

Vintage - a lovely technique to use with our cool vintage stencils. Stamp words or roller the Very Vintage wheel across Ivory Naturals paper. Sponge embossing ink thru a stencil, clear emboss. Then sponge around the embossed piece - add embellishments, some vanilla hardware or a diecut flower - OOOOhhhhh AAAhhhhh - perfect for Mother's Day!

Hello Ladies,

February is always a fun time...snow, sleet, indoor stamping time - and Valentine's Day! Last month we made some Valentine's cards and Winter Birthdays - THIS month, at the Mom & Daughter Valentine Camp - a last minute addition to the schedule, that unfortunately got snowed out - we were going to use some of the new Clear Mount stamps and the Valentine Love Bots (already stamped boxes available in the Occaisons Mini). As well as some new Big Shot Dies...I'm such a sucker for New shapes already cut out... So, don't forget to book your Sale-A-Bration Shows, and Book Shows...There are soooo many FREE stamps to choose from - check out the list on page 11 of the Sale-A-Bration flyer. Sooo, it just makes sense! Sale-A-Bration is over on March 31st!! Book SEVERAL shows :-)
